This position is based in Vadodara, India as a permanent work-from-office role. The standard shift is 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST.

What you'll be doing

• Own engineering execution including delivery, quality, and team health for a backend-heavy product team
• Run hiring: define roles, lead interviews, make calibrated offers
• Drive performance management: clear expectations, regular feedback, and growth plans
• Partner with product and clinical stakeholders to scope work and keep commitments
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and hold the technical bar across the team
• Remove blockers, reduce friction, and keep the team moving with focus

Required skills

• Strong hands-on background in Python/Django, React, and AWS
• Systems thinker: can reason about distributed systems, failure modes, scalability, and long-term design tradeoffs
• Track record managing engineers in a product company — shipping features, not just maintaining processes
• Strong communicator: written and verbal, up to leadership and across to peers
• Organized under ambiguity — can manage multiple workstreams without losing detail

Nice to have

• Background in healthcare, compliance-heavy, or data-sensitive domains
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tooling and how it changes team velocity
