    Job description

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist engineers in preparing and releasing technical drawings and related documents
    • Create part numbers, purchase requests, and other documentation for procurement of new components and materials
    • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery
    • Assist in preparing administrative documents such as visa applications
    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and components
    • Organize and store items properly in the NPI workshop
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workshop
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks
    • Support a safe and efficient working environment
    • Maintain records and documentation for operational activities in NPI workshop
    • Others tasks assigned by the higher-level supervisor or NPI manager

    Education & Experience

    • Intermediate or College Graduate in Engineering or Technology fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Materials Science, or related disciplines
    • 0+ years of experience in a technical or support role (fresh graduates are welcome)
    • Basic understanding of technical drawings and engineering processes
    • Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is an advantage
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
    • Experience with operation and maintenance of facility systems such as HVAC, building systems, low-voltage electrical systems, exhaust/ventilation, air compressors, DI water, and vacuum systems is a plus

    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities
    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
    • Basic problem-solving skills

    Working Conditions

    • Work with advanced optical technologies and high-precision measurement equipment
    • May involve lifting and handling materials
    • Work environments include workshops, cleanrooms, and standard office settings
    • Occasional support for team travel coordination outside regular hours

    Safety Requirements

    All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.

    Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
