Unleash a new element, Element [E] The Staff Account I is responsible for month-end closing processes, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, reporting to management, and various process improvement projects.

Successful candidates will be responsible to:
Prepare month-end close journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate differences between supporting documents and GL
Prepare various sales and expense reports for internal management
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
Ensure that internal controls are in place and maintained by management in various departments
Draft process narratives and memos if needed for various accounts and projects.
Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
Involved in inventory adjustments, pricing adjustments, freight analysis/invoicing and commissions.
Provide external auditors with supporting documents related to internal control and substantive audit procedures
Prepare special financial reports such as financial ratios and income statement accounts flux analysis by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Ability to work in a team environment
Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing up to date accounting regulations and procedures
Assists Master Data Coordinator with setting up various customer accounts.

Must possess good organizational skills and the desire to learn.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Desired Qualifications:
CMA/CPA or desire to obtain
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence systems

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This job currently operates on a hybrid schedule rotating between in-office and remote work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may be required as needed.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
