We're looking for a high-energy, strategic leader to join our Learning and Development leadership team and shape how our global field teams (Sales, Client Success, and SBS) learn, grow, and perform. Our Enablement org makes our field teams more effective and efficient. We're looking for a strategic problem solver who's excited to partner with field leadership to shape how we enable our teams to sell and support clients at scale, across every segment.

As the Senior Director, Learning & Development you will own the end-to-end learning journey across our field teams to include onboarding, product fluency and sales skills. You'll set the strategy, org design, and leadership for our learning design function, building and developing a high-performing global team. You're an innovative, technology-forward leader who treats AI as a core lever personalizing learning, scaling content, and preparing our workforce for the age of AI. This role calls for excellent executive communication skills, close partnership with senior business leaders, comfort operating in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

Who you are

• Own the vision and strategy for the global Learning Design function; lead, develop, coach, and manage performance of a team of learning design managers and specialists, with a strong focus on building a high-performing, high-retention organization.
• Own the end-to-end learning journey for our field teams across all segments (eg SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise) establishing a consistent, globally coherent  learner experience ensuring appropriate structures are in place to govern the standards for quality, consistency, design, authoring, and evaluation across all learning design.
• Advocate AI and innovative technology as core levers across the learning function  personalizing learning paths, accelerating content production, powering coaching insights, and evolving how we design and deliver learning to keep Indeed ahead of the market.
• Own the strategy for developing and measuring sales skills and product fluency, ensuring new hires and tenured team members reach full performance as fast as possible.
• Act as a senior strategic advisor to executive leaders and senior business partners across the company proactively shaping learning and development priorities and translating business priorities into learning design strategy across every vertical, market, and segment.
• Take a data-driven approach to needs identification, evaluation, and decision-making; own the dashboards, reporting, and impact measurement framework that tie learning design directly to business outcomes, including product fluency and ramp-time metrics.
• Own communications and knowledge management for our field teams  ensuring the knowledge base, content, and information channels are consistent, current, and easy to access  and serve as a thought leader in instructional design and learning innovation, representing Indeed's point of view in the market.

Who we are

• Requires a minimum of 17 years of related experience; or a minimum of 15 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or a minimum of 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with a minimum of 8 years experience.
• Significant experience leading a global learning and design organization.
• A demonstrated track record of developing high-performing teams and leaders, not just individual contributors.
• Experience using AI to help organizations optimize performance, personalize and scale learning, prepare their workforce for the age of AI, and bring new, innovative approaches to the learning journey.
• Experience building and measuring product fluency programs and ramp-time / time-to-productivity metrics for Sales or CS organizations.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, with the ability to set direction amid ambiguity.
• Proven experience as a senior strategic advisor to executive-level business leaders.
• Demonstrated executive communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing at the VP/SVP level.
• A data-driven mindset, with experience building measurement frameworks that connect learning to business impact.

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits. Compensation may also vary based on where a role is performed, as work locations are grouped into geographic pay tiers to reflect cost of labor differences in different geographic markets.
