Schedule:

Part-Time: Monday – Friday 10am-2pm (per diem hours also available) 

Some Job Responsibilities:

• Assists with the supervision and preparation of the student lunches.
• Supports students in the following individualized feeding protocols and encourages independence during meals.
• Monitors students closely to prevent choking and to ensure mealtime safety.
• Assists students with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene and toileting, using universal precautions.
• Supports the classroom teacher in supervising students during non-instructional activities.
• Interacts with students in a consistent, supportive, and nurturing manner.
• Helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, including care of materials and equipment.
• Collaborates effectively and professionally as part of the classroom team.
• Follows all agency policies, procedures, and departmental guidelines. 

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED;
• Valid NYS Driver’s License preferred;
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred;
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as (but not limited to); twisting, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing;
• Must be able to sit, walk, drive, and stand for prolonged periods of time;
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
