FinOps Analyst

As a FinOps Analyst, you will continuously analyze cloud consumption and costs, transforming financial and operational data into actionable information for management and decision-making.

You will connect cloud infrastructure and service costs with applications, products, services and workloads, monitoring budgets, forecasts, variances and optimization opportunities while supporting the operational application of established FinOps practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud consumption and costs, identifying trends, anomalies and variances.
• Perform budget tracking and forecasting across applications, products, services, workloads, projects, business areas or other defined Business Dimensions.
• Support cost allocation, showback and chargeback processes.
• Produce FinOps reporting and management indicators, including cost views by application or service.
• Correlate cost variations with usage patterns, workload evolution and relevant changes in the application context.
• Monitor the functional quality of data, tagging and allocation criteria used for reporting.
• Identify optimization opportunities and support their prioritization and follow-up.
• Prepare information to support FinOps ceremonies and stakeholder decision-making.
• Identify requirements related to data, reporting or configuration.

• FinOps Certified Practitioner certification.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, ITFM or equivalent roles.
• Solid knowledge of cloud billing and cloud cost structures.
• Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Solid knowledge of cost allocation, showback and chargeback.
• Solid knowledge of the FinOps Framework and key cloud financial management practices.
• Solid knowledge of cost attribution and analysis models across applications, products, services, workloads and Business Dimensions.
• Knowledge of TCO, cost drivers and unit economics.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Analytical capability and ability to interpret and communicate financial, operational and application data.
