Job description

Analyze, understand and challenge business requirements when needed.
Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies.
Participate in technical design activities and contribute to solution architecture.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Java development best practices.
Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services.
Build applications following high-volume, low-latency and high-availability architectural principles.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and standards.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Create and maintain technical design documentation.
Provide Level 3 support for production applications.
Participate in testing activities, including unit and integration testing.

Professional Experience

3-5 years of software development experience.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
Experience working in Agile environments.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Java 8/17 and J2EE.
Solid experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Hibernate.
Experience developing RESTful and SOAP web services.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Experience with Java Design Patterns (MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory, Builder, etc.).
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with Spring Data JDBC or similar frameworks.
Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL and/or Apache Cassandra databases.
Understanding of Microservices Architecture and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.
Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube and Artifactory.
Familiarity with Linux environments.
Familiarity with Docker and OpenShift.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
Knowledge of XML and JSON.
