Your primary focus is driving revenue, occupancy, retention and long-term commercial value, while ensuring an exceptional member experience and strong overall building performance.

This role works in close partnership with a team of Assistant Community Managers (ACM’s), who are leading the day-to-day operational delivery of the building. You will line manage and develop the ACM’s and wider Community Team, maintaining senior oversight of operations while dedicating the majority of your focus to sales, strategic member relationships and commercial growth. You will report directly to the Community Director and work closely with Sales, Finance, Real Estate and central support teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership & Management

    • Create a high-performing, commercially minded culture where the team delivers exceptional member service while supporting the building’s revenue and retention goals

    Commercial & Sales Leadership

    • Own building commercial performance across revenue, occupancy, conversion, renewals and retention
    • Lead the building-level sales cycle including tours, proposals, negotiations, pricing, expansions and renewals
    • Own HubSpot pipeline management, forecasting, lead follow-up and progression of opportunities
    • Build strong broker, partner and referral relationships while driving new commercial initiatives and revenue opportunities

    Strategic Member Growth & Retention

    • Own senior relationships with key and strategic accounts, understanding their future workspace and growth needs
    • Lead renewal and retention strategy, proactively identifying churn risks and protecting revenue
    • Act as the senior escalation point for complex or commercially sensitive member matters
    • Monitor member and commercial KPIs including NPS, retention, occupancy and account growth

    Operational Oversight

    • Provide senior oversight of building operations through effective line management of the ACM’s
    • Hold the ACM’s accountable for day-to-day operations, vendor management, building routines and service standards
    • Act as the senior escalation point for significant building, landlord, vendor, safety or member issues
    • Ensure commercial growth is supported by strong operational delivery and a consistently high-quality member experience

    Financial Performance

    • Own the building P&L and overall financial performance in partnership with Finance
    • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and business reviews with clear ownership of commercial performance
    • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin and overall building profitability
    • Oversee significant payment issues, membership fee increases and financial escalations in partnership with Finance

    About You

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Community Manager, General Manager or equivalent senior workspace/building leadership role within a high-profile, premium or complex building environment
    • Proven track record of delivering sales growth, increasing occupancy, converting pipeline and retaining high-value members or clients
    • Strong commercial judgement and confidence leading complex tours, proposals, negotiations, renewals and strategic account conversations
    • 5+ years of experience line managing and developing teams, ideally including Assistant Community Managers or equivalent operational leads
    • Experience owning or materially contributing to a building P&L, budgets, forecasting and commercial performance reporting
