POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician – Millwright to join our Huntsville, Ontario team. This role is responsible for maintaining plant equipment and facilities in safe, optimal working condition through proactive inspections, monitoring, and routine maintenance.
SIGNING & RETENTION BONUS
Receive a $2,000 bonus:
- $1,000 after 6 months of continuous employment
- $1,000 after 12 months of continuous employment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rebuild and service production machinery and systems to ensure reliable operation
- Perform tooling and machine changeovers efficiently and accurately
- Maintain, organize, and store tooling (1/2” – 63”) and equipment
- Set up production lines, including installation of winders, extruders, saws, rollers, and related components
- Conduct regular inspections and report tooling repairs or damage to the Maintenance Crew Leader
- Follow all company procedures and safety standards
- Actively participate in Health & Safety training and promote a safe work environment
- Contribute to LEAN and 5S initiatives
- Support other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Millwright Certificate or enrolled Millwright Apprentice
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or a relevant combination of education and experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills
- Solid organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
- ERP system experience is an asset
- Willingness to support other departments as needed
