About the Opportunity
The Fill Line Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated filling and packaging equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of finished goods. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by performing equipment setup, changeovers, quality inspections, documentation, and basic troubleshooting activities. Working closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics teams, the Fill Line Operator helps ensure products meet established quality standards and are prepared for on-time shipment. The ideal candidate has experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Run and oversee filling line machinery to ensure products are accurately filled, capped, labeled, and packaged.
- Prepare filling equipment and complete product changeovers in line with batch specifications and production needs.
- Conduct routine in-process quality checks, including verification of fill levels, weights, and product specifications.
- Accurately document production activities and quality data in compliance with cGMP requirements and internal procedures.
- Perform cleaning, sanitization, and basic upkeep of filling line equipment to support safety and contamination prevention standards.
- Identify and address minor equipment malfunctions, escalating more complex issues to Maintenance or Engineering teams when needed.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Logistics departments to ensure products are properly processed and ready for shipment according to schedule.
- Adhere to all EHS, ISO, and cGMP standards to support a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operation.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or higher in a technical discipline such as Chemical Technology, Process Technology, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
- One to three years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, or filling operations, ideally within the chemical, pharmaceutical, or food production industries.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot automated production equipment.
- Working knowledge of applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including cGMP, ISO 9001, and OSHA requirements.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including rotating schedules, weekends, and overtime as needed to support production demands.
