Fonction : Post-Doctoral Research Visit
This position is part of a joint initiative between two Inria research teams: Gamble (Inria Nancy) and Ouragan (Inria Paris), in collaboration with the ANR StratMesh project.
The objective is to develop new methods and reliable visualization tools, specifically dedicated to the study and reliable triangulation of surfaces that are solutions to equations arising in the design of robust controllers for differential and delay differential systems (studied as quasi-polynomials).
Regular travel between the Nancy and Paris teams may be required for this position. Travel expenses will be covered within the limits of the applicable regulations.
Missions:
With the support of the Gamble and Ouragan teams, the successful candidate will classify stable singularities occurring in robust control equations and design an efficient algorithm to triangulate the implicit solution surface of these equations.
For further information on the proposed research topic:
A state-of-the-art review, bibliography, and scientific references are available at: https://homepages.loria.fr/GMoroz/postdocs/triangulation_automatique_2026.pdf
Collaboration:
The recruited candidate will work with researchers from the ANR StratMesh project (Gamble and Ouragan teams), who are collaborating to develop new reliable methods for control problems.
Main Activities:
Technical Skills and Requirements. Knowledge of symbolic and numerical methods, or computational geometry (stratification and triangulation).Solid background in linear algebra and differential equations to address control theory (H∞ methods) and linear delay differential systems. Programming skills for developing visualization software.
Languages. Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking) is essential for writing publications and international collaboration.
Interpersonal Skills. Ability to work effectively in a team within an inter-laboratory project (Inria Nancy and Inria Paris).Strong autonomy in research.
