The Fulfillment Services team at Instacart is at the heart of building the picking technology platform that powers the fulfillment needs of the world's largest retailers and millions of customers. Our work directly shapes how shoppers experience their day-to-day work and how customers receive the quality orders they expect — and we're just getting started.
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Core Picking engineering team. As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Core Picking team at Instacart, you will lead the engineering team responsible for our core shopper picking experiences, supporting our mission to build the picking technology platform required to meet the fulfillment needs of the world's largest retailers and millions of customers. You will provide leadership in driving the stability, scalability, and extensibility of engineering systems that advance the shopper app’s picking experience. You will interface with engineering and product leaders across the company, as well as retailer leadership, to collaborate on facilitating new and innovative grocery picking solutions. As the leader of this team, you will develop Instacart's picking technology and provide shoppers with tools to work more efficiently in delivering quality orders for our customers.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own the technical direction for a team of 10+ engineers, set the bar for enterprise-grade engineering quality, and help shape the future of how the world's largest retailers fulfill grocery orders. Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
