- RHEL 5/6 knowledge/experience is required for this position.
- Shell scripting experience with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple support activities is required.
- The candidate should have prior experience utilizing packaging environments and tools.
- The ideal candidate will also be proficient in all/many of the following areas: bash, ksh, Python, CVS, Subversion, RPM, YUM, Red Hat Satellite, and VMware.
- Equivalent experience in comparable areas will be considered.
- Responsibilities will include software packaging and distribution of developed software packages to test and production systems.
- Candidate needs to be flexible to include some production support as required.
- Candidate will be providing focused support to a subset of the department's development activities.
- Experience with system startup, Operating System interaction, boot options, and parameters on Client DL380 G6/G7/Gen8 class server hardware is a plus.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to document and track details is required.
- The ability to appropriately escalate and refer tickets to additional support personnel is also necessary.
- Candidate must work in the Minneapolis Office.
