In-vitro pharmacologist

The Primary Pharmacology Group is actively supporting Cystic Fibrosis projects in developing assays, running subset screens, and data analysis and management.

Job responsibilities

• include: Performing routine tasks associated directly with the Cystic Fibrosis projects or indirectly in a capacity easing role to support this and other projects. ---- The successful candidate will join a team of scientists focused on assay development and execution of primary and secondary plate-based assays for multiple therapeutic areas.
• Applicants must have demonstrated experience with de-novo assay development, optimization, and in vitro screening experience across a range of biochemical and cell-based functional formats as well as cell culture expertise.
• Experience in the high content imaging space, high-throughput screening (HTS) techniques, and automation is advantageous and comfort with relevant software tools such as IDBS Biobook, ABase, Spotfire, and GraphPad Prism is preferred.
• The successful candidate will be excited by a role with high demands and should possess strong collaborative and communication skills.
• He/she should be adept at multi-tasking, integrating biology concepts from group discussions and the literature, and comfortable working in a team environment. -----
