Chemsolv, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Roanoke, VA. This position is responsible for purchasing products efficiently and accurately while ensuring orders are placed, received, and processed in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong computer and database skills, along with the ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify, prepare, and submit purchase orders to appropriate vendors in a timely manner.
• Monitor purchase orders and resolve issues related to products, pricing, or delivery.
• Expedite orders when needed to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Coordinate and track freight and logistics, including monitoring product movement in collaboration with Operations.
• Assist with sourcing and identifying suppliers for products.
• Work with the Purchasing Team and suppliers to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors to address quality and delivery issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist the Materials Manager and Purchasing Team with inventory management activities.
• Support pricing processes in collaboration with suppliers and Product Managers.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure information is properly entered and updated in company systems.
• Provide support to the Purchasing Team and other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills and ability to work with database and purchasing software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Preferred:

• 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the commodity or chemical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
