The Site Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of logistics on the project. This includes coordinating the movement of materials, equipment, waste removal, temp roads / access, gate passes, site employee passes, coordination with head office functions for plant / equipment / materials. Application and monitoring of HSE requirements across all logistic activities at site. Coordinate with, and support, the project team to ensure that the project is fully supported and on track from a logistics perspective.
Responsibilities
- Develop project specific logistic plans to clarify the procedures and processes required to effectively manage and control site
- logistics throughout the construction phase of the project
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to accurately determine site requirements, including timeframes and resources, to
- upport the project team on all logistic critical matters
- Oversee site set up and mobilization, including site offices, storage areas, worker welfare, stockpile areas, including coordination
- with Project Support Services dept
- Manage site access and security requirements for personnel, visitors, and vehicles. This must comply with Client requirements
- and IM standards.
- Monitor and coordinate the movement of materials and equipment at site, ensuring that agreed plans are followed, and all
- HSE requirements are adhered to
- Manage the setup of project stores and ensure that suitable and sufficient access, areas, shelving, containers, and precautions
- are provided
- Liaise with HSE Manager, Project Manager, Construction Managers and other internal stakeholders to provide regular updates
- on logistic requirements
- Prepare and present reports on logistic performance at site, including areas of concern
- Identify areas and opportunities for cost saving in relation to site logistic activities
- Ensure that any logistic requests are made in writing as per agreed process to avoid any misunderstanding or confusion with
- timings or specifics of request
- Always adhere to HSE requirements during the execution of logistic activities
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, logistics, supply chain management or related field
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in construction logistics or a related field.
- Familiar with construction site operations, proven track record of site logistics on construction projects.
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Certification in construction logistics IOSH Managing Safety is an ADVANTAGE
