Land Commission Specialist

Responsibilities

The land commission specialist will support the accounting team with daily data entry functions. They will administer and execute assigned internal processes, including reconciling and maintaining commissions records, researching and resolving internal and external paid commission issues, responding appropriately to queries from internal and external stakeholders, and generating commissions reports.

• Deposit and reconcile checks/Ach
• Review unclaimed commissions report on a weekly basis and request additional booking details from the suppliers and (or) advisors, if necessary.
• Monitor Land Commission requests and make sure all questions are responded to
• Allocate commission payments to correct accounts, customers, and travel advisors timely and
• Posts cash receipts to the correct division, account, and invoice timely and
• Balances daily cash receipt input files to bank deposits totals including wires, ACHs, check deposits and credit card payments to ensure completeness.
• Communicate with vendors and travel advisors on short-paid balances, unidentified payments, and possible process enhancements.
• Partner with the team and management by quickly bringing issues to their attention, working to understand the root cause, and offering potential solutions.
• May assist in other land functions and special projects as time and workload
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or
• Validation of daily deposits in GiaDocs system to properly export to Emagia CMS.
• Emagia CMS QC to ensure proper release to NetSuite and AOS system

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with Accounts Receivable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Advanced Excel Skills
• Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinker, with autonomy and problem-solving capabilities
• 2- or 4-year degree in finance or accounting preferred but not required
• Experience in Agresso, Travcom and NetSuite is a plus
• Knowledge of accounting functions related to the travel industry

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working.  Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
