Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Intuit Dome and Kia Forum team! The Maintenance Technician will support the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry, painting, and metal work.

This is a full-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is eligible for our competitive benefit offering including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan with company contribution, Well-Being Allowance, and more. The scope of this position encompasses a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation with the transition of numerous daily events. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible and rotating schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.   

What You Will Do:

• Change air filters in spaces where no fans or machinery are in operation, which has been shut down, locked out and tagged by an Engineer.
• Respond to customer requests and submit/close work orders as necessary.
• General cleaning of engineering spaces.
• Cleaning, patching, and painting at various locations as directed by the Director of Engineering.
• Perform general laborer work as assigned by Director of Engineering or Vice President of Operations, such as loading, unloading, and moving materials for the Engineering Department.
• Furniture moving, modular systems breakdown and set-up.
• Preventive maintenance in all restrooms.
• Assist Engineers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.

Your Background, Skills, and Experience:

• Two or more years’ experience in the field of facility management, preferably in a complex and sophisticated deadline driven environment.
• Prior experience working in new venue preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively and professionally, diplomatically, and maturely with internal and external clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community, both oral and written.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge of and a passion for professional basketball and live entertainment.
• Highly responsive to emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment with demonstrated confidence, decision-making, and multi-tasking abilities.

Essential Functions of the Job (Physical Requirements & Working Conditions)

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead and horizontally as needed to perform job duties.
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs and work safely at various heights, including top of stairways, when required.
• Ability to work in confined or enclosed spaces, including elevators, when required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors in person and through radio or other communication devices.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor work may include exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity, and direct sunlight.
• Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels, crowds, and vibration typical of live sporting events and entertainment venues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Compensation 

• The range for this position is $34.00-$36.00/ hour.
• The role is classified as non-exempt.
