InvestCloud is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our operations team to help automate and manage the provisioning, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of our rapidly expanding global infrastructure. We’re seeking a highly motivated individual with a true passion for DevOps. Success will be measured by an continual improvement in operational efficiency and scalability of InvestCloud’s systems. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Systems, Development, and QA teams in the management of DevOps practices across InvestCloud’s locations and data centers in the U.S. and abroad
- Use individual initiative to continuously enhance the scalability of InvestCloud’s cloud infrastructure and environment
- Ensure successful deployment of technically advanced applications into cloud-based environment stack
- Use innovative thinking to provide effective and long-term solutions to complex technical issues
- Maintain best practices for solution development.
- Collaborate with Developers, Systems, and QA teams to develop and configure salt states
- Work to continuously with stakeholder teams to develop expertise within key infrastructure areas
- At least 3 years of senior experience in DevOps
- Strong appreciation of the factors necessary for successfully deploying large and complex technical infrastructure, operations and applications
- Hands on ability to manage and automate an operational stack
- Self-sufficient, self-motivated and reliable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have real-world experience of managing operations in Windows Server, RedHat and/or Ubuntu Linux, SQL Databases, ideally Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Proven experience demonstrating DevOps best practices.
- Expertise with log aggregation systems such as Splunk, LogEntries or Loggly.
- The ideal candidate would possess real-world experience managing operations using the following technologies:
- Saltstack
- Jenkins
- Oracle
- Postgres
- Java/Glassfish
- NoSQL and in-memory databases: CouchDB, MongoDB, Memcached, Redis, Cassandra
- Nagios
