DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Manager, Plant/Site and contribute to global science and healthcare. You'll oversee operations at advanced facilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This leadership role involves advancing operational excellence through Lean manufacturing principles, managing cross-functional teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
As the site leader, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong customer relationships. You'll support our core values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement while cultivating a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to implement positive change, support team development, and contribute to scientific advances.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in operations leadership in sophisticated manufacturing environments
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Science, Business Management, or related field
• Strong track record implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience leading teams in FDA-regulated, cGMP, ISO 13485, or similar quality systems
• Demonstrated financial acumen in budget management and operational cost control
• Excellence in developing and executing strategic and annual operating plans
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in matrix organizations
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
• Experience with quality systems, regulatory compliance, and audit management
• Expert knowledge of operational KPIs and data-driven process improvement
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
• Proficiency in leading change management initiatives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to travel up to 10-15% as required
• Experience maintaining safety programs and environmental compliance
• Excellent vendor and customer relationship management skills
