We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee all aspects of production operations for an assigned shift. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality manufacturing while leading, coaching, and developing production employees. The Production Supervisor partners with cross-functional teams to meet production goals, drive continuous improvement, and support talent development within the Production Department.

What You Will Do

• Supervise daily shift operations and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and output targets are achieved.
• Execute production schedules while optimizing labour utilization and machine performance.
• Lead shift-transition and pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and operational updates.
• Monitor production KPIs, downtime, scrap rates, and performance metrics using manufacturing systems and reports.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Tooling, Quality, and Process teams.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, documentation requirements, and audit readiness.
• Manage departmental expenditures and provide regular performance reporting.

Leadership & People Development

• Coach, mentor, and develop production associates through training and performance management.
• Conduct evaluations, succession planning, and employee development activities.
• Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and certification processes.
• Build a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Environmental Leadership

• Champion a zero-injury safety culture and promote proactive hazard reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, ISO 9001 requirements, and internal standards.
• Support incident investigations, corrective actions, inspections, and JHSC activities.
• Lead 5S initiatives and contribute to environmental sustainability goals.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support management-of-change reviews and standardized work practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally within a safety-focused production environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices in manufacturing.
• Experience with plastics  fabrication, or related processes preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with conflict resolution

Working Environment

This position operates within a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to machinery, industrial noise, chemicals, raw materials, powered industrial vehicles, and varying production demands. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The role may also require lifting up to 50 lbs and extended periods spent on the production floor.
