In this highly visible commercial leadership role, you will develop trusted executive partnerships, shape account strategy, identify growth opportunities, and orchestrate IQVIA’s broad portfolio of capabilities to solve complex client challenges and deliver measurable value.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Account Leadership & Growth

    • Lead business development and account management activities for designated global strategic accounts.
    • Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned to client priorities, market dynamics, and IQVIA capabilities.
    • Drive sustainable revenue growth by identifying, shaping, and advancing opportunities across the full client lifecycle.
    • Lead strategic conversations with senior executives and decision makers to position IQVIA as a trusted partner.

    Client Management & Solution Development

    • Build enduring relationships with executive sponsors, commercial leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders within client organizations.
    • Develop a deep understanding of client business priorities, challenges, and decision-making structures.
    • Translate client needs into innovative, integrated solutions that leverage IQVIA’s data, technology, analytics, clinical, and commercial expertise.
    • Conduct regular business and service reviews to ensure customers realize value from existing IQVIA partnerships and identify opportunities for renewal, expansion, and cross-sell.

    Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Orchestrate global, cross-functional account teams to deliver coordinated client engagement and high-quality execution.
    • Partner across IQVIA business units, service lines, and sales teams to align resources around key account priorities.
    • Coach and mentor junior business development and account management colleagues, sharing best practices and supporting team effectiveness.
    • Lead account planning, forecasting, pipeline management, financial reporting, and opportunity governance activities.

    Strategic Account Ownership

    • Serve as the senior commercial owner for assigned accounts, accountable for relationship health, growth strategy, and overall account performance.
    • Co-create joint growth plans with clients that deliver mutual value and support long-term partnership goals.
    • Maintain stakeholder maps, executive engagement plans, and account strategies that reflect evolving client needs and organizational priorities.
    • Champion client-centric thinking, innovation, and disciplined execution across internal and external stakeholders.

    What We’re Looking For

    Required Experience

    • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or related commercial services industry.
    • Demonstrated success managing large, complex strategic accounts, preferably including accounts with annual revenue exceeding $50M.
    • Proven ability to sell complex, multi-service solutions across a broad portfolio of capabilities.
    • Track record of balancing near-term opportunity execution with long-term strategic account development.
    • Experience navigating matrixed global organizations and managing multiple sophisticated client relationships simultaneously.

    Required Skills

    • Executive presence and credibility with C-suite, senior commercial, and strategic decision makers.
    • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and opportunity management skills across the full sales cycle.
    • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans with clear priorities, measurable actions, and disciplined follow-through.
    • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, pipeline management, revenue planning, and account performance reporting.
    • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
    • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions, geographies, and business units.
    • High degree of ownership, accountability, resilience, and self-motivation.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
