The Opportunity

AFS & Tax Coordinator

📍 Pretoria 

We’re looking for a detail-driven and motivated AFS & Tax Coordinator to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and coordinating Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for a portfolio of clients, based on year-end accounting work completed by our accounting teams. You’ll also assist with tax-related responsibilities and play an important role in maintaining the quality and compliance of our financial reporting processes.

You’ll work closely with our accounting teams and report directly to the Technical Manager (Tax & Financial Statements).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drafting, coordinating, and finalising Annual Financial Statements and tax related tasks for various clients
• Reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS for SMEs
• Supporting month-end close processes when needed
• Assisting with process improvements and special projects
• Supporting accounting teams with AFS-related queries
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of year-end reporting quality

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting degree (or similar qualification)
• 3+ years’ experience drafting Annual Financial Statements
• Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero
• Experience using CaseWare or DraftWorx
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• SAIPA or CIMA/CGMA designation (newly qualified as this is an entry level role post articles)
