Position Summary
The Pilot is responsible for the safe, compliant, and professional operation of Santa Teresa Holdings’ Pilatus PC-24 aircraft under FAA Part 91 regulations. This role supports domestic and international flight operations in alignment with owner travel requirements and company objectives, with a strong emphasis on safety, operational efficiency, discretion, and professionalism. The position is full-time and requires flexibility in scheduling and location, including international assignments.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Santa Teresa Holdings, LLC.
Base of Operations
The primary base of operations will be Jacksonville or St. Augustine, Florida, as determined by operational needs. The Pilot must be available to operate from other domestic and international locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Flight Operations & Aircraft Management
- Serve as Pilot for the STH Pilatus PC-24 in accordance with FAA Part 91 regulations and applicable international aviation standards.
- Conduct all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate detailed flight planning, including routes, alternates, fuel planning, weather analysis, and regulatory considerations.
- Operate advanced avionics and aircraft systems with professionalism and precision.
- Maintain readiness to support owner travel schedules, including short-notice and international operations.
2. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain strict compliance with all FAA regulations, international aviation authority requirements, and company safety standards.
- Apply best practices in Crew Resource Management (CRM), aeronautical decision-making, and operational risk assessment.
- Maintain all required licenses, ratings, medical certifications, and training currency necessary to perform pilot duties.
3. Maintenance, Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate aircraft logbooks, documentation, inspections, and maintenance scheduling in collaboration with management and maintenance providers.
- Assist with tracking operational expenses such as fuel usage, landing fees, vendor services, and trip-related costs as requested.
- Support trip documentation, customs and immigration coordination, and international operational requirements when applicable.
4. International Assignment & Colombia-Based Support
- During periods when the aircraft owner is residing in or operating from Colombia, the Pilot is expected to remain in Colombia for the duration of the aircraft’s presence and operational needs.
- When not actively engaged in flight operations during such periods, the Pilot may be asked to provide incidental, non-aviation support to Riwi, an affiliated educational initiative, which may include:
- Informal lectures or presentations
- Conversational English practice
- Professional interaction with software development students
- This support is incidental and non-instructional, does not constitute formal teaching, and does not change the primary aviation-focused nature of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Pilatus PC-24 Type Rating
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Demonstrated experience in Part 91 turbine aircraft operations
- Proven ability to operate safely in domestic and international environments
