The client develops solutions that help hospitals make better use of critical resources such as operating rooms, infusion centers, inpatient beds, clinical staff, and scheduling capacity. Its technology is used by a large number of healthcare organizations and is designed to reduce operational friction, improve patient flow, and help hospitals manage complex care environments more efficiently.
You will work specifically on a surgical scheduling and coordination platform designed to improve how surgical cases are managed from planning through execution. The platform helps healthcare organizations reduce scheduling inefficiencies, improve operating room utilization, and minimize lost surgical opportunities.
Surgical scheduling can be particularly complex because surgeons often work across multiple healthcare systems, while case coordination may involve many different workflows, documents, people, and dependencies. Traditional calendars and manual processes are often not enough to manage this complexity effectively.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will primarily focus on building and improving the user-facing parts of this production platform. You will work on new feature development, bug fixing, ongoing support, and continuous product improvements, while contributing to backend areas when needed.
Design and implement new features using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
Develop responsive, maintainable, and user-friendly frontend experiences
Own feature lifecycles from requirements through implementation, testing, and production support
Investigate and resolve bugs and production issues across the stack
Integrate frontend with REST APIs and backend services
Contribute to backend development as needed
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to established engineering standards
Build and maintain automated tests, including end-to-end testing
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and Scrum ceremonies
Collaborate closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and client-side team members
Adapt to the established codebase, development practices, and continuous delivery processes
Provide ongoing platform support as new functionality and workflows are released
Strong professional experience with React in production applications
Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with modern React application architecture and component-based development
Familiarity with Next.js or comparable React frameworks
Good understanding of REST APIs and frontend/backend integration
Experience building complex, production-grade web applications
Familiarity with automated testing and tools such as Playwright or similar
Understanding of software engineering principles (clean code, maintainability, and testing)
Experience working within established engineering standards and large existing codebases
Ability to independently investigate problems and drive tasks to completion
Experience with any of the following is appreciated, but not required:

Clerk or other authentication/user-management platforms
Backend API development
