Your Day to Day
- Send bid invitations and follow up with subcontractors for billing.
- Organize, update and submit prequalification data as required
- Prepare quantity take-offs for self-perform work and input to pricing sheet
- Estimate costs of goods or services
- Confer with personnel to coordinate business operations
- Create and maintain organized estimate files
- Maintain data in information systems or databases
- Analyze business financial data
- Prepare financial documents as instructed
- Support estimators as required
- Performs all other duties as assigned
How You Contribute
- Perform thorough, detailed and accurate analysis on all assignments
- Accurately enter data and track information in ViewPoint and other project tracking systems
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal communications to ensure understanding of estimates in the bid process, with project managers as well as with vendors/sub-contractors
- Utilize strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure project information is complete, well ordered and finished according to standards
- Be able to accept constructive criticism and deal effectively with high-stress situation
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Building Science or other equivalent program is preferred
- One to two years of similar experience including internships or working with another general contractor in the construction industry is required
