About The Team

You’ll be joining the JINGDONG Logistics team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location – Delivery Station

Reports to – Head of Big & Bulky, indirect report to S&M Delivery Station Cluster Manager

Role Overview

Working within the Big & Bulky network and the Delivery Station team, the B&B Delivery Operation Supervisor will provide the leadership to ensure that a great customer experience is delivered safely and efficiently. Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to engage the team to maintain great standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Line management responsibilities for the JD drivers and installers – recruitment, training, scheduling, holiday management, disciplinary, development planning – working with the Installations Technical Team for training support and to identify trends
• Contract management responsibility for the DSP installations crews
• Ensuring that the delivery routing is carried out to deliver a safe plan to meet the customer promise and operating SOPs, making sure that the crews are assigned to the tasks aligned to their qualification and engaging with DSPs to flex the capacity of the delivery crews to maintain efficiency
• Ensure that the receipt of the inbound orders, loading out on to the delivery vehicles, return of reverse orders and dispatch to the central warehouse are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with the SOP
• Ensure that the appropriate vehicle checks and maintenance processes, including driving license checks and fuel card management, are completed and records kept
• Manage the delivery/installation teams when they are out on the road, advise on decisions they are taking and seek advice from the Installations Technical Team to allow the best customer service with the minimum risk to delivery timeliness for other customers, H&S for customer and crew, and risk of damage to product or customer homes
• Investigate issues (customer complaints, accidents, vehicle/product damage, KPI misses) in a prompt manner, communicating clearly with all stakeholders and putting steps in place to improve performance going forward
• Management of the tools and consumables for the JD and DSP crews, conduct inventory checks and request replenishment as needed

Key Skills/Experience

• Great leadership/engagement of teams who operate away from the Delivery Station
• Customer focus, using the SOPs to make practical decisions to prioritise meeting the customers’ needs
• Collaboration within the Delivery Station and within the B&B network, working with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong operational skills and a good ability to prioritise
• Strong communication skills, with internal and external colleagues and especially with customers
• Preferable to have experience of final mile, big & bulky operations, and/or installations
