Voor ons Food & Beverages-team zijn we op zoek naar een Category Manager die commercieel sterk is, data-gedreven werkt en enthousiast wordt van het meebouwen aan een snelgroeiend e-commercebedrijf vanaf de start. In deze rol help je mee met het verder opbouwen van ons Food & Beverages assortiment in de Benelux. Je krijgt de kans om veel verantwoordelijkheid te pakken en direct invloed te hebben op assortiment, leveranciersrelaties en de groei van jouw categorie. Omdat we nog volop in ontwikkeling zijn, liggen er veel kansen voor mensen die initiatief tonen, ondernemend zijn en verantwoordelijkheid nemen.

Wat je gaat doen

• Meebouwen aan de toekomst van Joybuy’s Food & Beverages categorie in een snelgroeiende internationale omgeving
• Nieuwe categorieën opbouwen en bestaande categorieën verder uitbreiden om het best mogelijke assortiment voor onze klanten neer te zetten
• Onderhandelingsstrategieën bepalen en leveranciersgesprekken voeren van eerste contact tot getekend contract.Sterke relaties opbouwen met leveranciers en tegelijkertijd zorgen voor scherpe commerciële voorwaarden
• Jouw categorie echt leren begrijpen door data, klantinzichten, marktontwikkelingen en input van leveranciers te combineren
• Commerciële kansen signaleren en vertalen naar concrete plannen die bijdragen aan een beter assortiment, sterkere performance en hogere winstgevendheid
• Samenwerken met marketing om producten extra zichtbaar te maken via campagnes, banners en promotionele activaties
• Intensief samenwerken met bijvoorbeeld supply chain om beschikbaarheid, productkwaliteit en de totale klantpropositie te verbeteren

Wat je meebrengt

• Een hbo- of wo-diploma in Bedrijfskunde, Economie of een vergelijkbare richting
• 1 tot 3 jaar ervaring als Buyer, Category Manager of Key Account Manager, bij voorkeur binnen food, FMCG of e-commerce
• Sterk commercieel inzicht en zelfvertrouwen in onderhandelingen met leveranciers
• Het vermogen om snel kansen te herkennen en goed aan te voelen wat belangrijk is aan de onderhandelingstafel
• Een ondernemende mindset met veel energie, doorzettingsvermogen en eigenaarschap
• Het vermogen om meerdere projecten tegelijk te managen in een dynamische, snel veranderende omgeving
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en het talent om relaties op te bouwen en stakeholders mee te nemen
• Goede beheersing van zowel Nederlands als Engels

For our Food & Beverages team, we are looking for a Category Manager who is commercial, data-driven, entrepreneurial, and excited to help shape a fast-growing E-commerce business from the ground up. As we are still in an early and fast-growing phase, there will be plenty of opportunities for people who take initiative, step up, and take responsibility.

What you will do

• Helping shape the future of Joybuy’s Food & Beverages offering in a high-growth international environment
• Building new categories and expanding existing ones to create the best possible assortment for our customers
• Defining negotiation strategies and leading supplier negotiations from first conversation to signed agreement
• Building strong supplier partnerships while securing competitive commercial conditions
• Developing deep category knowledge through data, customer insights, market trends, and supplier input
• Identifying commercial opportunities and turning them into pragmatic plans that improve assortment, performance, and profitability
• Working closely with marketing to increase product visibility through campaigns, banners, and promotional activations
• Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as supply chain to improve availability, product quality, and the overall customer proposition

What you bring:

• A BSc or MSc degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience as a Buyer, Category Manager, or Key Account Manager, preferably in food, FMCG, or e-commerce
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence in supplier negotiations
• The ability to assess opportunities quickly and understand what matters at the negotiation table
• An entrepreneurial mindset with lots of energy, persistence, and ownership
• The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in both Dutch and English
