Butler Ford is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Deal & DMV Clerk. This position is responsible for processing vehicle deals, handling title and registration paperwork, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with dealership and state requirements.
Responsibilities
- Process and review vehicle deals for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and submit DMV paperwork including titles, registrations, license plates, and lien releases.
- Maintain organized records of all deal jackets, contracts, titles, and registration documents.
- Enter customer, vehicle, and financing information into dealership systems accurately.
- Ensure all paperwork complies with state regulations, lender requirements, and dealership policies.
- Communicate with sales staff, finance managers, lenders, customers, and DMV offices to resolve paperwork issues.
- Assist customers with title, registration, and contract-related questions.
- Track outstanding titles, funding, and registration items as needed.
- File and maintain physical and electronic records in an organized manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous dealership, title clerk, DMV, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of dealership paperwork and DMV/title processes is a plus.
