What You’ll Do

Are you ready to take the next step in your sales leadership career? JMP is seeking a Sales Manger for Japan to lead and develop a high‑performing sales team focused on driving new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and delivering consistent revenue growth.

This role reports to the Japan Sales Director and works closely with cross‑functional partners including Inside Sales (IS), Pre‑Sales (SE), Marketing, Sales Operations, Legal, and Product teams. You will play a critical role in executing the Japan sales strategy, coaching sales talent, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Execution & Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Create a performance‑driven, collaborative sales culture with clear goals and accountability.
• Support the team in managing complex sales cycles and closing strategic opportunities.
• Actively participate in key customer engagements and executive‑level discussions as needed.

Sales Strategy & Process

• Execute the Japan sales strategy in alignment with regional and global objectives.
• Apply JMP’s sales methodologies consistently to drive predictable and repeatable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, tools, and execution efficiency.
• Ensure accurate pipeline management and forecasting discipline.

Customer & Market Focus

• Ensure consistent and effective customer engagement practices across the team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback, and share insights with leadership.
• Partner closely with Marketing to support campaigns, events, and pipeline generation initiatives.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work with Pre‑Sales (SE) to deliver compelling value‑based solutions.
• Work with Inside Sales (IS) to manage and grow key accounts.
• Collaborate with Legal and Business Operations to support contract negotiations and deal structures.
• Align with Sales Operations on reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

• More than 8 years of software sales experience, preferably in data analytics, enterprise software, or technology solutions.
• More than 3 years of sales management or team‑lead experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience selling complex, value‑based software solutions.
• Strong coaching skills with demonstrated success developing sales talent.
• Experience managing pipeline, forecasting, and sales performance metrics.
• Familiarity with both direct and indirect sales models is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
