Senior Java Developer

Job Duties

Develop code for JAVA web applications with Responsive front end design

Test and debug applications

Develop web services for internal and external consumption

Other tasks as management assigns.

Job Specifications

Four year college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent full-time work experience

10 years of recent JAVA application software development experience.

Expertise developing and debugging using Java, JavaEE

Expertise developing with web presentation technologies such as AJAX, JSON, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5

Expertise developing web applications and user interfaces with Java technologies such as JDBC, JSP, JSF, and servlets

Proven history of developing large-scale, high traffic, high performance web-based applications

Experience with database application development using Oracle, SQL, JDBC and XML

Demonstrated application of software development methodologies and modern best practices

Experience with Test-Driven Development with Junit or equivalent tool

Experience with Apache, Tomcat, Eclipse, and Subversion

Expertise in Java toolkits and frameworks such as JSP, JSF, etc.

Expertise with Eclipse or equivalent modern IDE

Expertise in REST, SOAP, Web Services, and Web Services Security

Ability to develop and document requirements and specifications

Experience designing and coding a data-access layer that utilizes JPA and other APIs to interact with Oracle databases and other components in the EA

Demonstrated ability to work with the enterprise and data architects to influence and implement the overall system architecture

Experience developing software in an Agile development environment

Proficiency in writing testable code

Experience with code documentation and Javadoc.
