    Sales Lead, Rentals & Used Equipment- Sales Operations

    Barrie, Ontario

    About the Role

    The Sales Lead, Rentals & Used Equipment – Sales Operations supports and optimizes the full sales cycle for Rental and Used Equipment. The role focuses on pricing, quoting, forecasting, CRM management, reporting, and sales process coordination, while partnering with Sales Managers, Dealer Partners, Service, Logistics, and external stakeholders.  Acting as a key cross-functional liaison, this position helps ensure a smooth and efficient sales process from quotation through delivery and commission processing, supporting the efficient execution of sales activities and achieving sales and profitability goals.

    What You’ll Do

    Sales Operations & Process Management

    • Support and optimize the end-to-end sales process for Rentals & Used Equipment.
    • Develop, maintain, and improve sales workflows, procedures, and operational best practices.
    • Ensure sales opportunities, customer information, and supporting documentation are accurately maintained within the CRM system.
    • Monitor sales processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer responsiveness.

    Pricing, Quoting & Commercial Support

    • Prepare and manage quotations for Regional Sales Managers, Dealer Partners, and Factory Direct sales representatives.
    • Maintain pricing tools, costing models, quote templates, and sales support materials.
    • Support pricing decisions and discount approvals in accordance with company guidelines.
    • Assist with large bids, tenders, and strategic sales opportunities.
    Forecasting, Reporting & Analytics
    • Support sales forecasting activities and annual sales planning processes.
    • Analyze sales activity, pipeline data, inventory trends, and business performance metrics.
    • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and leadership teams.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions and sales growth initiatives.
    Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Act as a liaison between Sales, Service, Logistics, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless customer experience.
    • Coordinate equipment availability, freight requirements, and delivery activities.
    • Support warranty registration and transfer activities.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve customer and operational issues.
    Rentals & Used Equipment Portfolio Support
    • Partner with the Used Equipment Coordinator to maintain Used Equipment and Rental inventory listings on company platforms.
    • Support inventory promotion initiatives and sales campaigns.
    • Assist in monitoring inventory movement and utilization metrics.
    Sales Effectiveness Support
    • Support Regional Sales Managers with opportunity management, customer follow-up, and sales planning activities.
    • Promote CRM utilization and sales process discipline.
    • Assist with commission calculations and administration.
    • Participate in sales meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Total Rewards

    • Competitive annual salary of $62,500 -$75,000. Individual compensation will be based on experience, education, and qualifications.

    Position Details

    • Location: Barrie, Ontario
    • Status: Full-time, Permanent
    • Position Type: Salaried position
    • Schedule - Monday-Friday - occasional extended hours may be required to meet operational needs.

    What You Bring

    • 3- 5 years’ progressive experience in sales operation, inside sales, equipment sales support or a related field
    • Demonstrated experience supporting sales processes, pricing, quoting, forecasting, and customer relationship management.
    • Experience working in heavy equipment, construction equipment, industrial equipment, rental, or related industries is considered an asset
    • Strong commercial and operational business acumen.
    • Strong proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Proven ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and relationship management.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling customer, employee, pricing, commission, and business information.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Business Diploma or Certificate preferred
    • Valid Class G driver’s license and a driving record that is satisfactory to the Company, as a requirement of the position
    • Successful completion of any job-related background checks, reference checks, and verification processes required for the position, in accordance with applicable laws.
