Beach Outfitter

Essential Job Functions:

• Coordinate daily beach outfitter operation (rentals & lessons/guides) as directed by Aquatics Director.
• Set up beach outfitter operation and perform variety of beach maintenance tasks including removing seaweed from beach, sweeping beach deck, setting up beach furniture, inspecting and operating the following equipment: sail boats, paddleboards, kayaks, skim boards, surf boards and boogie boards and fishing gear.
• Control inventory of rental equipment and beach furniture.
• Help coordinate aquatic programs and special events/activities related to the beach, working closely with Lifeguard and Aquatics staff members.
• Set-up and assist with all Club activities held beachside.
• Enforce Aquatic Facility rules in a direct, but tactful manner.
• Provide high level of service to Club members and guests. Respond to needs, questions and suggestions of the members, in a courteous, responsive and respectful manner.

Skills & Knowledge:

• General knowledge of salt water Florida fishing regulations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
• Able to inspect, maintain, repair & operate Outfitter equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. Ability to communicate and assist members in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to speak, read and write in English language.
• Ability to safely operate beach utility vehicle.
• Ability to safely operate PWC rescue ski.
• Ability to safely operate Hobie Cat sail boat in surf zone.
• Able to demonstrate strong surfing skills.
• Familiar with saltwater fishing rules and angling skills.

Licensure/Certification:

• CPR & First Aid National Certification (Required)
• Lifeguard National Certification (Required)
• Valid Florida Saltwater Fishing License (Required)
• Valid Florida Driver’s License (Required)
• Coast Guard Boating Course (Recommended)
