Tax Director

The Tax Director will report to the VP and CAO and oversee all tax matters for the company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Federal and State tax compliance for MLP entities
• Calculation of Annual and Quarterly income tax accruals
• Oversight of K-1 review and processing
• Research and planning, tax modeling and special projects, as needed
• Maintain current knowledge of tax laws impacting MLPs and the midstream energy sector
• Interact with external service providers and internal departments, staff and C-level executives

• Work with other groups, including, but not limited to, accounting, finance, legal and regulatory, to further improve the quality and communication of tax related data

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• 7 or more years of relevant MLP, partnership, and/or corporate tax experience
• Industry experience in the midstream energy sector is a plus
• Big-4 firm experience preferred
• CPA preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
• Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors and company contacts.
• Competent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above.

• Detail oriented & ability to multi-task.
• Prior management experience is a plus
