We are recruiting for a Professional Land Surveyor to work in our Meridian, Idaho office.

This position is intended for a professional surveyor who is technically strong, collaborative, growth-oriented, and interested in developing into a broader leadership role over time. The successful applicant will work closely with experienced survey leadership while helping deliver high-quality survey services for transportation, municipal, land development, aviation, water/wastewater, and other civil infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

• While applying technical land surveying knowledge and skills, this position will: Perform survey project management duties and responsibilities in the office, working with survey and project teams.
• Provide direction and mentorship to survey team members and support the continued development of technical staff.
• Coordinate with field crew manager and crews during projects.
• Assist with proposals, scope development, labor estimates, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout of survey projects.
• Prepare, oversee, and coordinate boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, construction staking, subdivision plats, Records of Survey, and control networks.
• Prepare and review legal descriptions for properties, roads, easements, rights-of-way, and related survey documents.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D (with survey database), Trimble Business Center, GNSS workflows, and other survey technologies to support accurate project delivery.
• Collaborate with in-house engineers, project managers, and other survey professionals across J-U-B’s offices.
• Assist with client relationships, meetings, agency coordination, and business development opportunities.
• Represent company to outside agencies, clients, and project partners in a professional manner.
• Travel to survey sites and other J-U-B offices as needed.
