Experienced Fabricator

At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an experienced fabricator. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."

Fabricator Job Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate products as indicated on mechanical drawings
• Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components
• Maintain raw material and product identification to insure traceability
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition

Fabricator Minimum Requirements

• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
• 5 plus years' Mig and Tig welding/fabricating experience
• Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment
• Ability and willingness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent

Fabricator Desired Skills

• Familiarity with forklift operation
• Familiarity with rigging and use of overhead crane
• Basic computer literacy
