At JW Hicks, we are looking for talented individuals to join our growing team in Knox, Indiana. Currently we are looking to add an Experienced Maintenance Technician. We have a passion for producing the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and plant equipment per the company's preventative maintenance program
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and replace defective components, ensuring proper testing and adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics for equipment servicing
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLCs and power systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Experience with robotics a plus
- Must pass a post-offer drug screen and physical prior to employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
