We have a passion to produce the best refractory products on the market and are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and heart for "Doing it Right."
Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:
- Order materials and services
- Manage purchasing information and systems
- Track receipts and evaluate supplier delivery performance
- Manage supplier relationships and service level agreements
- Administer purchasing contracts
- Monitor and manage raw material inventories
- Work with other departments to forecast required purchases
- Develop and maintain periodic reports as needed
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Effective interpersonal skills
- 2-3 years’ experience with above responsibilities
- Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of software programs commonly used in business
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- ERP experience
- Experience with computer spreadsheets and databases
Awareness of packaging and transportation regulations
