Risk Coordinator (6-Month Contract with benefits included)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week; Hybrid schedule options available
Overview:
Kaufman Lynn Construction is looking for a Risk Coordinator to support our Risk Management team on a 6-month contract basis, working Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, with hybrid schedule options available. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and comfortable following up with subcontractors to collect missing information, update spreadsheets, and keep electronic files accurate and complete. The main focus of this position will be supporting subcontractor prequalification.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
● Support the subcontractor prequalification process by making frequent follow-up calls and sending emails to subcontractors to obtain missing information and required documentation
● Track outstanding items and follow up consistently until documentation is received and files are complete
● Update and maintain the prequalification data spreadsheet to ensure records are accurate, current, and easy for the Risk team to review
● Organize, save, and maintain subcontractor documents in the appropriate electronic folders
● Provide administrative support to the Risk Management team, with a primary focus on subcontractor prequalification and documentation follow-up
● May assist with hard-copy filing if scheduled to come into the office periodically
● Perform other duties as assigned to support the Risk Management team
Qualifications:
● Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up consistently until information is received
● Data entry experience with the ability to update spreadsheets accurately and efficiently
●Customer service experience and strong phone communication skills, including the ability to make frequent follow-up calls in a professional and courteous manner
●Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and electronic document folders
●Construction, insurance, compliance, or subcontractor prequalification experience helpful, but not required
●Compass or similar prequalification/document management system experience a plus
Additional Information:
This is a contract role designed to provide immediate support to the Risk Management team. The right candidate should be able to jump in quickly, stay organized, communicate professionally, and help keep the prequalification process moving.
