The job of Groups and Events Manager is executed satisfactorily when:
The hotel achieves its Financial Objectives.
- The Groups and Events Sales team that the person works with achieves their revenue objectives.
- The Person achieves their personal objectives.
- The TTTT is carried out to the satisfaction of the Director of Groups & Events and Groups and Events Executive
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for revenue generation in the Groups and Events
- Developing a Groups and Events forecast in coordination with the Director of Groups and Events
- Responsible for Development (or improvement) & active conversion of an effective Groups and Events Sales Strategy incl. acquisition of new markets
- Reaching (and possibly surpassing) the monthly and yearly revenue goals
- Setting and regular check-up of goals for the Groups and Events Sales team and its individual team members
- Recognizing need periods and active finding of possible solutions in coordination with the Director of Groups and Events and the Sales Team
- Leadership, training, development, encouragement and support of the Groups and Events Team
- Responsible for the training and incorporating of new team members (and trainees)
- Performance Control for the subordinate team members
- Analysis and utilization of the Mystery Shopper program
- Supervising regular Competition Checks
- Encouragement of cross-selling to other hotels within the Kempinski Group (and GHA)
