Job Description
Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to support other roles at the location while actively pursuing a CDL. A CDL must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Once a CDL is obtained and all required documentation is complete, the employee will be moved to the Driver/Operation position with the appropriate pay increase. This role will engage in a range of responsibilities including general lot maintenance, receiving, and delivering product, grounds maintenance and equipment compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
- Assist with outbound and inbound Agronomy products.
- Ensure safety compliance.
- Assist in equipment maintenance.
- Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds, and moving snow.
- Communicate daily activities, needs and accomplishments to management.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- May assist in measuring inventory of dry fertilizer, NH3, UAN, and other chemicals.
- High School graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
- Pursuing a Class A or B CDL preferred, or Ag CDL, with required endorsements.
- Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Prior ag experience a plus
- Required overtime as the season demands.
- Basic mechanical skills for daily maintenance of equipment preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and judgment skills
- Possess a positive attitude, high energy, and focused attention to detail.
- Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and team player attitude.
- Territory and agriculture knowledge is a plus.
