Overview
Kimley-Horn's Indianapolis, Indiana (IN) office is seeking a Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Bridge Structures team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as project manager or technical lead for structural engineering projects
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client expectations across projects
- Develop scopes, fees, schedules, proposals, and pursuit materials while supporting client relationships
- Mentor staff, delegate effectively, and support development of junior engineers and emerging leaders
- Coordinate across teams, offices, and disciplines to deliver consistent, high-quality project outcomes
- Participate in office growth, practice development, and firm initiatives
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant engineering design experience
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, when needed
- Knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design software
- Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous mindset on personal and staff development
- Positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
