We are seeking a motivated, positive, and dependable full-time Forestry Specialist to join our team of Resource Professionals. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of service to meet the needs of our clients, and we are only as good as the people on our team.  The positions will be based out of our Burns Lake, Smithers or Terrace office.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for a Forestry Specialist will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the field crew in data collection and various field duties
• Supporting the project managers on several phases of projects execution
• Coordinating between project managers and team members, sub-contractors and consultants
• Ensuring work meets the established standards for quality control and for safety.
• Preparing reports and professional assessments
• Supporting on various tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of project management / coordination experience in the forestry sector
• RPF or RFT designation is required, FIT nearing registration will also be considered
• Strong Professional communication and organizational skills
• Experience designing resource roads in RoadEng 11 is an asset
• Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving License; experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs is an asset
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in diverse and demanding conditions

Compensation: 

• The pay range for this position is $34- $38 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
