Casual Hours Contract
Invigilators are required to invigilate exams:
Morning: From 8am to 12.30pm
Afternoon: From 1pm to 6pm (latest)
Exams Season:
Mock exams are held in January & February and the main exam season is in May & June.
Invigilators are required to cover a minimum of 10 sessions in both the mock exams and the main exams.
- Prepare examination rooms and materials in advance of exam sessions.
- Ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with exam board regulations.
- Supervise candidates throughout examinations, maintaining a calm and orderly environment.
- Complete attendance records, seating plans and other examination documentation accurately.
- Support candidates with access arrangements, including extra time and laptop use.
- Collect completed examination scripts at the end of each session.
- Uphold confidentiality, safeguarding responsibilities and the integrity of the examination process.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow regulations, procedures and instructions consistently.
- Confident using basic IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and professional integrity.
