    Job description

    The Talent Strategy Project Coordinator provides project and team support across the Talent Strategy team, inclusive of Workforce Strategy and rewards, Performance Management, and Talent Health Systems & Insights. Reporting to the Managing Director of Talent Strategy, the Coordinator provides flexible capacity across the team to support special projects, Talent cycles and priorities that require additional coordination or do not have assigned ownership.

    This role works across multiple priorities and stakeholders and requires strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and follow-through. The Coordinator must be able to adapt as team needs and priorities shift while recognizing when work can move forward independently and when additional direction or decision-making is needed.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Talent Strategy Special Projects (50%)

    • Coordinate and execute assigned special projects based on established goals and direction, including projects across Talent Strategy functions, address emerging priorities, or do not have an established owner.

    • Provide short-term project capacity during high volume periods, annual Talent planning and implementation cycles, or other priority work requiring additional support

    • Maintain established project timelines, trackers, and deliverables to keep assigned work organized and moving towards completion.

    • Monitor assigned projects for delays or barriers and escalate issues requiring additional direction or decision-making.

    Talent Strategy Team Operations (20%)

    • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Managing Director and Talent Strategy team based on team needs and priorities.

    • Organize and maintain Talent Strategy operating mechanisms, including but not limited to the shared drive, shared calendars, templates, resources, and other tools that support team organization and access to needed information.

    • Execute assigned administrative and coordination activities for recurring Talent Strategy processes and annual cycles.

    • Work closely with Senior Manager of Talent Strategy & HR Projects to support and coordinate logistics for talent Strategy trainings, team events, and other activities.

    Talent Strategy Data and Processes Support (15%)

    • Provide defined data support across Workforce Strategy & Rewards, Performance Management, Talent Health Systems & Insights, and other Talent Strategy Priorities.

    • Support defined data needs and maintained established trackers as assigned to support Talent Strategy projects and recurring processes during key Talent Strategy cycles.

    Talent Strategy Communications (15%)

    • Maintain the Talent Strategy communications calendar and coordinate assigned communications through review, approval, and distribution.

    • Draft and edit assigned communications and other stakeholder-facing resources based on established and defined content and direction.

    • Coordinate with project owners to gather information and approvals needed to deliver assigned communications on time with project deadlines.

    • Maintain communication resources that support consistent and timely Talent Strategy org-wide communications.

    • Respond to routine Talent Strategy inquiries using established guidance and resources and escalate inquiries requiring additional expertise or decision-making.

    Serve as a Member of the Talent Division Team and Family

    • Champion KIPP Texas’ mission and core values, modeling our values in your work, decisions, and relationships.

    • Model the Talent Division’s culture to foster high-performance, inclusion, and belonging. Support key team culture initiatives.

    • Build a network of engaged stakeholders across the organization. Leverage a diverse set of perspectives to implement and strengthen our talent practices.

    • Foster a culture of collaboration through active participation in manager, team, division, and organizational meetings.

    • Demonstrate a growth mindset through co-creating a personalized learning plan and participating in development experiences to improve your practice in cultural competence leadership.

    Performs any other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the network.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)

    • 1-2 years of experience in project management, talent operations, program management, or a related field

    • Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously

    • Experience working in K-12 education preferred

    COMPETENCY AND SKILLS:

    • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work deliverables.

    • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain organized as project needs and timelines shift.

    • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

    • The candidate is expected to attend conferences, meetings and training sessions both virtually and in person within the Region.

    • Reliable transportation is needed for travel between campuses

    • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.

    • Work with frequent interruptions.

    Work Environment: 

    • Hybrid work - Reports to the central office or schools three days a week

    • Remote

    • Typical school/office environment with frequent interruptions.

    Travel Requirements:

    Minimal travel: May travel to other school sites or regional offices for professional learning, meetings and other work related activities.
