About KM Engineering
KM Engineering is a multidisciplinary consulting firm providing civil engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture, and environmental services throughout Idaho and the surrounding region. We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to help lead and grow our Landscape Architecture practice while collaborating with a team of experienced professionals on impactful public and private development projects.
Position Summary
This role is ideal for a licensed Landscape Architect who enjoys both project leadership and relationship building. The successful candidate will oversee projects, mentor staff, contribute to business development efforts, and play a key role in delivering exceptional results to our clients, .
Responsibilities
- Lead landscape architecture projects from concept through construction.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Develop site layouts, streetscape designs, park plans, planting plans, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, planners, and environmental professionals.
- Build and maintain client and agency relationships.
- Participate in proposal development and project pursuits.
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
- Prepare and oversee production of landscape architecture plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
- Help shape the growth and direction of the firm's landscape architecture practice.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Current Professional Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) license; candidates licensed in another state are encouraged to apply and KM Engineering will support Idaho reciprocity.
- Ability to independently manage landscape architecture projects from proposal through construction.
- 8+ years of related professional experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software.
