Location: Onsite – Cheltenham

Opportunity

As our Process Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving a culture of continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You'll use your expertise in Quality Assurance, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and process improvement techniques to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and enhance performance.

You'll champion Six Sigma methodologies, applying the DMAIC framework to deliver sustainable improvements in quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll help shape best practices, influence positive change, and ensure our processes consistently deliver exceptional results.

• Act as a responsible Process Quality Engineer for all key production lines within both buildings.
• Develop sound product knowledge.
• It is expected this person will be very much a "hands-on" person, who will personally take responsibility for "doing",and will spend a large proportion of their time on the factory floor working closely with staff and process owners on continual improvement projects.
• Meticulously monitor production processes to identify deviations from quality standards and promptly address any issues
• Liaise / Collaborate closely with all levels of Operations & stakeholders. Use relationships to maintain a network to support Production / Quality Strategies.
• Harvest and trend Infinity, Smart Factory and Ignition data as an enabler to communicate current and potential future state issues.
• Support the removal of manually recorded OEE data.
• Work with the Controls team to validate Ops Link OEE portion 3.0.
• Working closely with AME ensure PFMEA’s are effectively maintained and controled.
• Support production with RCA and drive resolutions. Ensure appropriate measurement techniques are used.
• Ensure Control Plans, PPTR’s and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
• From a quality perspective support new production equipment to ensure a smooth handover from NPI.
• Capture and analyse manufacturing metrics to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement, including the realisation of those improvements
• Facilitate machine and process capability studies using data and statistical techniques. Promote and ultilise techniques for continuous improvement such as Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis
• Operate without need for technical supervision.
• Drive quality communication, to ensure knowledge is shared and recorded.
• Define and develop cell data structure and management in conjunction with appropriate stakeholders (collection, output, analysis and communication)

Skills/Requirements

• A relevant mechanical or electro-mechanical HNC or higher qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience, ideally completed 4 year engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience of communicating information at all levels across various functions: written & verbally, concisely and accurately.
• A tenacious, enthusiastic, results driven individual with excellent time management skills.
• A confident user of Microsoft office software.
• Must be structured and organised, with an ability to work on their own, within a team.
• Project Management experience, with six sigma green belt project leadership experience.
• Trained to use MS Project.
