Opportunity
Lead, develop, and execute product and content marketing strategies and initiatives in collaboration with the Canadian sales and marketing organization to increase brand saliency in Canada and improve the trading position and profitability of the organization while providing data insights and analysis on the effectiveness of those strategies. Support the overall growth of the Kohler, Sterling, and Hytec brands within Canada.
Specific Responsibilities
Market Analysis and Strategic Development
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, channel activities, and adjacent/competitor brands in order to identify areas in the Canadian market where business can be developed. Conduct market research to help identify business opportunities in key markets and channels.
Marketing Planning
- Lead the development of marketing proposals for new product launches and content marketing campaigns to ensure all opportunities are leveraged on a short-term basis and internal and external relationships are built on a long-term basis. Develop tactical product and content marketing campaigns, email campaigns, and category-focused promotions to assist in the achievement of operational marketing and sales goals for Kohler and Hytec in both English and French.
New Product Commercialization and Go-to-Market Strategy
- Project manage all new product commercialization projects on behalf of Canada, consolidate project tracking, identify asset needs in both English and French, and collaborate with channel teams on new product launch activities and budget planning. Identify critical new launches for the Canadian business through commercialization process and partner with channel marketing team (wholesale and retail) to develop effective launch strategies to achieve sales objectives for Kohler, Sterling, and Hytec brands.
- Make recommendations to optimize new product launches, distribution, shelving, price, and promotional mix by analyzing marketing and customer data. Analyze and assess category performance to develop enhanced category marketing and sales plans and promotions.
Insights and Reporting
- Prepare data analytics and sales performance reports related to product launches and content marketing campaigns, website performance (Kohler and Hytec), email marketing performance via Salesforce Marketing Cloud, tradeshows, and promotions. Interpret data, identify gaps and opportunities, and provide potential solutions, recommending corrective action where necessary to maximize budget and ROI.
Brand Strategy and Effectiveness
- Assist in the management of the Kohler, Sterling, and Hytec brands by implementing brand plans and guidelines and measuring effectiveness through brand power studies and NPS surveys.
Channel Marketing Asset Development
- Develop specific product and promotional digital content, social media content management, selling materials, training presentations, literature creation, POP materials, and general communications for Kohler, Sterling, and Hytec Brands across channels in both English and French.
Communications
- Support public relations efforts, trade shows, industry events, and product launch communications for Kohler, Sterling, and Hytec brands in both English and French.
Personal Capability Building
- Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
