SURGICAL REGISTERED NURSE - FULL TIME

Surgical Registered Nurse

Full Time - 72 hours per pay period

Kossuth Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dedicated surgical team. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality surgical care.

What You’ll Do:

· Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse

· Maintain a sterile field and follow OR protocols

· Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies—perform and verify sponge, needle, and instrument counts

· Assess & respond to patient needs—both physical & psychosocial—before, during, and after surgical procedures

· Implement individualized care plans in accordance with hospital policies, Physician directives, and patient/family preferences

· Maintain accurate & timely documentation using electronic health records

· Participate in on-call rotation and team-based care

What We’re Looking For:

· Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Iowa

· Experience: 2+ years surgical or scrub experience preferred

· Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and Mandatory Reporting

· Skills: Strong communication & teamwork skills

· Competency: Ability to provide age-appropriate care in the operating room setting
