Surgical Technician
Full Time - 72 hours per pay period
Will be required to be in the call rotation
Kossuth Regional Health Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our dedicated surgical team. Join our surgical services team and play a vital role in supporting safe, efficient patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. As a Surgical Technician, you'll work alongside surgeons and nurses to help ensure the operating room is prepared, equipped, and ready for every case.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, surgical supplies, and patients for procedures
- Function as a scrub tech and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical cases
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient transport and support quality care for patients of all ages
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant surgical environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent surgical needs
What We’re Looking For:
- Meet the qualifications required to work as an Operating Room (OR) Technician; CORT certification preferred
- Previous surgical or operating room experience is helpful
- Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
- Current BCLS certification & Mandatory Reporting requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a commitment to service excellence
